here in bear lake, winter stays for quite a while...like from oct to may...or june sometimes. it's not so bad when you have fun things going on, so i thought i'd post a few of our favorite things to do in the winter, and in the process give you an update on everyone. parker and dillon love to go ice fishing on the nearby reservoir. this one particular trip parker caught 3 little fish and dillon caught 1! they always have so much fun and we love to eat the fish for dinner that night...if they're big enough.
the boys love to play outside and play in the snow. wyatt loves to be warm, so he doesn't last very long outside before he wants "chaulk-it-milk" which means he want to go inside and drink hot chocolate. parker could stay outside all day if i let him. he doesn't seem to get cold ever. this is the first snowman of the year that we made and parker thought it looked more like a penguin than a snowman. it was fun.
catching a little cat nap on dillon's day off
While the boys are taking naps I've been spending time with my little "Nina", which is my Bernina sewing machine. To say "I love it" would not do justice...the word "obsessed" seems to fit better. Sometime it's the first thing i think about when i wake up, like what fabric i want to use for a certain project or how to make something i saw online or whatever. It's so much fun! these 2 purses I made for my niece, clarissa and my sister emily. i never thought i'd say this, but i'm obsessed with sewing!
I've also been working on my waistline:) parker snapped a few shots of my belly so jenner could see some "belly pictures". there ya go, jennerator.
We also got some new carpet!! Our house feels totally brand new and we love it! Dillon again, gets "husband of the universe" award again for all the hardwork he's put into this house. And thanks again to everyone who helped! We love coming home to a nice house that is finally what we want it to look like. For those of you who don't know what it looked liked before, see a few of the first posts on our blog...if you dare.
well, that about wraps it up. we have had a fun winter so far...and we are looking forward to having more fun, especially with a new baby in our home come April. We are probably going to name him "Owen." It's our favorite name so far and that's what the boys keep calling him. But we'll wait until he's born to see if he looks like an Owen. Parker is very partial to him. The other night he asked me, "Can baby Owen sleep with me tonight?" So I told him, "Well, baby Owen is stuck in mommy's belly for a little while longer." And then when he said his prayers that night he said, "Bless baby Owen cause he's stuck in mommy's belly." It was pretty cute.
My baby will turn 2 tomorrow, so I thought I'd throw a few favorite snaps of him. Happy Birthday Wyatt! I'll post more pictures from his birthday later. But I couldn't resist putting these in now.

RE: SEWING
The quilt you made for us has now become the gathering quilt for the neighbor kids for story time. The moms love it too. They all compliment and ask how I did it, what fabric I used, etc. etc.
Hats off to you my dear Annie! Thank you for the wonderful quilt! Glad you are enjoying all that sewing!
