think pink

motherhood is a wonderfully exhausting experience. with 2 little boys, or as i like to call them: the monkeys, running around our house, it literally feels like we live in a zoo. i was beginning to think that having peace and having children were two completely separate things. you could either have one or the other. you could never have both at the same time. so with that thought in mind we decided we would wait to have any more children until wyatt was at least 3 or 4. that way dillon would be done with PA school and parker would be in kindergarden and life would be a little less crazy. ha! we soon discovered that the Lord had other plans for our family and on sept 29 we got to see this little one below wiggling around inside me.

i'm now 12 weeks along and my due date is april 25th. dillon is so excited. i was not so much, but my heart just melted when i saw this little one on the ultrasound screen and I am now very excited about having another sweet baby in our family. parker says he wants a baby sister and that he'll name her "sally" just like lightning mcqueen's girlfriend. we'll hope for the sister part and try to forget about the sally part. (no offense to anyone named sally.) we are all very excited about this surprise package we have coming. i'm so grateful that "it" is due in the spring and not in the middle of winter. i will be having my baby in logan, ut, with the same great doctor (Dr. Brett Horsley) that delivered the other monkeys. I may move in with my in-laws for the last month just in case i can't get over the mountain fast enough. I really don't want to have my baby in Montpelier. The C-section rate here is very high. And the Dr. here is (no joke) about 70 years old. no thanks.

it's funny that before i got married i thought it would be so cool to have all boys. and now that i have 2 boys i think that dream has been fulfilled. i'd love to have a little girl to dress and fix her hair and just buy pink things! but we will love and adore whatever the Lord has in planned for us. It will be another great and wonderfully, exhausting experience full of joy.

I hadn't heard the news! I am so excited for you, Annie! I had a dream last night that I had a baby girl too...it's weird...I have had dreams like that before, but I never know who my husband is. That's what I have to figure out first!! ;)
Love you so much!

Congratulations! That's so awesome! I had three boys (no girls) and loved every minute of it (almost). Tell Dillon that Jeremy (Jones) and his wife are 8 weeks pregnant with #2 (they have a little girl already), and Jason (Jones) and his wife are 15 weeks along with boy #2. It's so fun to know so many people who are having babies. I love watching on the blogs as people find out what they are having, so post when you know!

AHHHHH! I'm so excited for you!!! That ultra sound is so cool looking! Amazing the technology they have these days! I will think pink really hard for you--because I must admit I love little girls (: I hope you are feeling okay--I can imagine taking care of two busy boys and morning sickness aren't super compatable!
Love you and the new little one!

Yaaaaay! You're having a baby. We hope you have a girl also, they are so much fun. My sister-law who lives close to you just had her first girl after having 4 boys. She says her drinking of tomato juice before hand helped in getting a girl. We know the Lord has a say in that matter but she feels she like she did her part. So drink some tomato juice (the acidic such). CONGRATS !

Congratulations! Having a little girl would sure be fun. I love little boys for sure, but I think at least one little girl would be great. The clothes and the hair things alone make me wish I could have a baby! This spring when you head back over Logan way, you'll have to call me so we can get together at least once. I would love to see you again! Congrats again!

Ok, this is going to be totally random for Annie because I don't know you, but I went to school with Dillon. I accidentally clicked on your blog link from Trisha's and when I saw it was Dillon's family, I had to peek. Darling, darling boys. And congrats! Anyways, I was wondering where you got your beautiful wood floor? It is exactly what I have been looking for. My email is kate_lawlor@yahoo.com. Thank you and please tell Dill hi!

Annie, I am so excited for you. Brett said you were over this last week and asked if you stopped by. I was really sad when I realized that I had missed you. Let's get everyone together and go to lunch next time you come over if you have time. I miss you so much!!! You will always be like a sister to me. I love you to pieces. Kiss those cute little boys for me. Love you ~Aim

That is such exciting news! I can imagine life is hectic, I feel it is crazy and I only have one...I think I'm in for a big surprise when any more come along! I will definitely think pink for you (although I hear little girls are harder in some ways??! - don't know if it's true). I for sure would love to have at least ONE girl down the road. I'm sad that I have never gotten to meet your family and see you in action as a mom - I'm sure you are amazing!! Congrats!
