our zoo

after making my 2 delightful boys a nice wholesome McAnnie egg sandwich and waiting on them hand and foot, wyatt decided to see how far he could launch it across the room and parker wanted to see if his gag reflex was still working properly and proceeded to deposit his yellowish mashed up food onto the table. while cleaning up parker's mess i turned around to see wyatt with the milk (the top off of course) on the floor trying to pour it into his tiny winy little cup. disaster. the agel (owen) was sleeping peacefully thru all of this. so while cleaning up that mess (parker's mess was still needing attention) wyatt ran outside and made a nice little puddle of urine on the front porch. this, i'll have you know, was the straw that broke the camel's back. i grabbed both their arms, marched them right into their room and said, (with a smile of course)"Goodbye." then i locked the door (we have the lock on the outside of the door) and I thought about reaching for the ice cream, especially since we have breyer's vanilla bean but decided i'd do some internet surfing instead. while looking at civilized human beings on various blogs i noticed it was extremely quiet...too quiet for a home of 3 boys. i went into their room and parker was sleeping soundly in his bed and wyatt was found under the table fast asleep with his stuffed animals all around him. yea! peace and quiet. so if you ask me now, "how is it with 3?" i'll tell you everytime...it's a zoo.

here's a lot of pix from our summer. i'm not going to explain them all, for your sakes and mine. who reads posts anyway?

yes, he is asleep!

we went to the boise zoo and it rained...good times!

dillon went on 3 backpacking trips this summer to the sawtooth mountains (ID), wagner lake (WY), and the windriver range (WY). He loved it, to say the least.

I KNOW you weren't talking about my blog when you said "civilized human beings"! (especially because I never post anymore :) Your house sounds just like mine...and I only have one monkey that pulls stunts like that! Well, when they are doing stuff like that, you can at least take solace in the fact that they are the cutest boys in the world. Keep up the good work girl!

I was so excited to see your update! Your boys are so fun! I love the pictures of them with their goggles on. Jake asked where he was. He thought for sure he should be in the pictures with the kids. Love you guys!

Boys = Zoo. I know the feeling and posts like this make me terrified of having another one! Gotta love being a mom. And I just saw your comment about my cute headband. I seriously love it and wear it all the time (I have matching red shoes too). Thanks so much. Hope to see you at Mari's wedding in October. :) And hope you find time to update your blog. :)

Mari's wedding is in Boise on October 24 at 10:00 am. We are doing a luncheon and reception that night too. I think your parents were supposed to let you know, the announcements will be sent out next week. Pretty exciting!
