He's here! I'm not sure how to begin or what to say first, but one thing is for sure...I am so glad it's all over and he's here!!! I suppose I'll share a condensed version of the birth of this little angel, so here it goes. After getting my membranes striped on wed morning and walking for a few hours that afternoon, i started having contractions about 6pm. Then around 2 am on thursday morning, i felt it was time to go to the hospital. We walked the halls to keep the contractions coming on a regular basis and i sat on a birthing ball for a while and about 6:30am the nurse checked me and i was at a 7!! She said "OK, let's get ready for delivery!! You're gonna have this baby in the next hour!!" I was elated! I kept thinking, aren't i supposed to be screaming and gnashing my teeth by now?? But, i was totally fine! Until...we decided to have the dr. break my water and then i was wanting to scream. That was at 7:15. The next 2 contractions i started to push and they were pretty intense. I felt that my whole body was on fire as I was pushing the baby out, but it was such a sweet release of pressure. Then at 7:40 little Owen Sidney was born and they laid him right on my stomach so i could hold him. It was so wonderful! He weighed 7.14 pounds and measures 19 inches long. He is a bundle of joy!! We are so grateful that he is healthy and that he is here!! We just can't get enough of him. Thanks for all your prayers and your love!!
