i wanted to post some recent pictures of us. the most recent was tonight... we had a dogpile on dillon or 'dil-when' as parker now calls him. it was fun for about 3 seconds until wyatt started fussin. then on saturday we had a heat wave of 39 degrees! it was like spring again! so we bundled up the boys and took them north of town a little ways to play outside. dillon cross-country skied with wyatt in the front pack and i snow-shoed pulling parker in a sled behind me. it was a blast. we loved it.
too bad i can't figure out how to organize these pictures so it looks nice...oh well. i'm open to suggestions, if anyone has any! anyway, we had a fun time. earlier that morning dillon took parker ice fishing with some people in our ward and they had a ball. we had 4 rainbow trout for lunch the next day. it was delicious.
jan 17 and 18 we went to the open house of the rexburg, idaho temple. it was beautiful. we took the boys through with us and it was hard to keep them still and quiet, but it didn't take away from the peaceful feeling that only the temple can bring. it is so sacred and holy. we loved being in the temple. we also got to spend the night with emily and kyle (my sister and brother-in-law). we had so much fun being with them and the boys loved playing on emily's long-board.
on sunday, we went to dillon's parents home to celebrate boone's (dillon's little brother) 16th birthday. papa sid (dillon's dad) had his old train going and the boys LOVED it. that's basically all they did the whole time we were there was play trains with papa sid. it was the highlight of parker's week.
parker and i have been going over the letters of the alphabet. everyday we talk about a new letter and color pictures and make little things that start with the letter we're 'discovering.' so one day we did the letter E. i made him some EYE-glasses and we made hard boiled Eggs, which he did not like at all. but had fun holding them once they were boiled. we are also in potty training mode...again, i'm open to suggestions!
we DO have another child...it just seems parker is always in the spot-light cause he does so many funny things. wyatt is our little adventurer. he can climb onto parker's log bed and likes to try and jump off of it. he's had a really good teacher. they are inseparable partners in crime. i am mostly at my wit's end by the end of the day. wyatt got a haircut tonight and no longer looks like a long-hair hippie, thank heavens. i didn't think it was possible but, yes, he looks even cuter now that his hair is cut. he's a fun baby!

thanks for sharing the pics of the rexburg temple. i bet that was really neat to see. your boys are too cute. i am glad you enjoyed the 39 degree weather, it is making me shiver just thinking about it.
Love it, love it, love it! Our girls would spend all day in that wonderland of snow! Do you know how much we are dreaming of just a little of that snow???? Thanks for keeping us connected and can't wait to see your Mom next week!!!
i think you should grow wyatt some dreads!!.........
I love your boys- they are so cute! We do potty jars- check out my blog... i tells more about them They work for us!!
So cute!!! looks like you guys had a blast in the snow! :)
I have a lot to say so bear with me...first of all you have the cutest family in the world! Second of all, I am so glad you got to see the temple too! I love all of the wheat symbolism everywhere you look. Was it as cold as it was when you were there as when we were there? (it's on my blog if you haven't seen it) Third of all, a guy in my ward who used to live in Logan randomly asked me, "Do you know Annie Hansen?" "Yes!" I exclaimed and we got to talking. His name is Nate Allen-I'm sure that rings a bell. Inevitably, Nickel Creek came up because we both have that link with you. Anyway, he says hi. Fourth of all, I love that letter of the day idea. I'll have to try that with Max when the time comes. Fifth of all, I love you! Sixth of all, will it even let me leave a comment this long? and seventh of all maybe I'll just write you an e-mail next time!
